Mexico now included in Patents Awarded To Nutrition Innovation

Nutrition Innovation has announced that it has been awarded a third National patent in relation to the Process to manufacture Nucane Low-GI sugar.  The latest patent was granted in Mexico which produces around 5 million tonnes of sugar and exports over 1 million tonnes each year.  This milestone in North America follows earlier awards of the same patent in Australia and Indonesia. More patents are now expected to be granted in 2022 as the National phase examination continues around the world.

"This particular patent describes our innovative and clearly unique "Closed-Loop automated system" for efficiently and consistently producing specifications of raw sugar including but not limited to Nucane Low-GI Sugar, but other sugars that need more consistent features, such as a standardised ICUMSA". said Chairman and Founder of Nutrition Innovation, Dr. David Kannar. "Importantly, this efficient and automated process, which has already been deployed in key markets, also can help to reduce Scope 3 carbon emission impacts from producing heavily refined white sugar. Therefore the patent gives recognition to our ability to make healthier, more consistent sugars with a lower carbon impact which is growing in importance in North American markets"

Nucane Low GI Sugar is now commercially available in Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Southern Africa and Central America. Nutrition Innovation additionally has other patents in development for Nucane Life, Sugar reduction powder and NXP, Anti-diabetic powder. "I'd like to thank our partners, FPA Patent Attorneys, for all the advice and support in ensuring the continued successful development of our innovations and IP"  added Dr. Kannar.
