NXP awarded as a Global Finalist at the 2023 Mass Challenge for Sustainable Food Solutions

Nutrition Innovation is proud to announce that it has been awarded as a Global Finalist at the 2023 Mass Challenge for Sustainable Food Solutions.

"This award was primarily for NXP, our breakthrough anti-diabetic, protein metabolising polyphenol powder.Polyphenols are widely reported in independent research to act by various methods to improve or boost protein metabolism and immunity. They are also reported to have antiviral and anti-diabetic benefits. NXP contains all the natural free and complex polyphenols found in the sugarcane plant that can potentially promote health and better nutrition for millions of people." said Matthew Godfrey, CEO of Nutrition Innovation.

The European based “Mass Challenge” competition is designed to connect innovators with major corporations to solve major challenges. These include urgent issues such as reduction of food waste, breakthroughs in nutrition, ingredients, sustainable food practice and new ways to better feed and improve the health of the projected 9.8 billion population in 2050.

Mass Challenge believes start-ups and corporations can help this effort. Startups can play a unique role in bringing new disruptive ideas to the table. Corporations can play a critical role in scaling these ideas and bringing benefits to society quickly. The 2023 Challenge involved major global leaders such as the Bühler Group, Givaudan, Nestlé, DSM, the Louis Dreyfus Company, and Südzucker. Their role was to review the over 500 entries to identify the very best innovations, start-ups or scaleups, with proven solutions or technologies in the areas of Sustainable Food, Feed Solutions, Sustainable Supply Chain & Manufacturing, Sustainable Packaging, and Agri Tech innovations.

“Being selected as a 2023 Mass Challenge Global Finalist, by leading Corporates, gives further proof that NXP is a breakthrough ingredient that the world is urgently looking for. It also confirms the previous awards received by NXP, which include the 2022 Givaudan Immunity Challenge and the 2022 World Food Forum Start-Up Awards.” Matthew Godfrey concluded.
